Intruduction of Africa

Africa is the second largest and the world's second most populous continent after Asia. With about 30.2 million square kilometers (11.7 million square kilometers) and the adjacent islands, it covers 6% of Earth's land area and 20.4% of the total land area. With billion (as of 2009, see table) in 61 areas, about 14.72% of the world.
